This presentation will focus on how Freescale’s Fast Path Unified Threat Management (FPUTM) Application Software Product utilizes the Data Path Acceleration Architecture (DPAA) of the P4080 QorIQ Multicore product to deliver high performance, high capacity and production worthy solutions for reduced time to market of customer QorIQ based products. The presentation will describe how the FPUTM benefits from hardware assists, specifically detailing both the data plane setup and control plane support necessary as well as the implications on the processing of a packet traversing the system.
