The STAR demo board was built to combine many of the demos available for accelerometer applications. This reference design enables multiple detection situations. The STAR board will enable you to see how Freescale's accelerometers can add additional functionality to applications in many different industries. By thinking of accelerometer applications in terms of the measurements that are performed, they can be grouped into 6 sensing functions – Fall, Tilt, Motion, Positioning, Shock and Vibration.

The RD3112MMA7260Q reference design is a single 3-axis accelerometer solution which is achieved by using the single package MMA7260Q X-, Y- and Z-axis device. The MMA7260Q includes a g-select feature that ranges from 1.5 to 6g.
