Processor Expert is a rapid application design tool integrated into CodeWarrior tool suites for the HC(S)08/RS08, HCS12(X), DSC and ColdFire architectures. It combines easy-to-use component-based application creation with an expert knowledge system.

Processor Expert is currently available for HC(S)08/RS08, HCS12(X), DSC and ColdFire architectures, with support for more architectures coming soon.
- A Graphical User Interface which allows an application to be specified by the functionality needed
- An automatic code generator which creates tested, optimized C code tuned to your application needs and the selected Freescale device
- A built-in knowledgebase, which immediately flags resource conflicts and incorrect settings, so errors are caught early in design cycle allowing you to get to market faster with a higher quality product
Processor Expert creates a Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)-hardware-dependent, low-level drivers with a known application programming interface (API) - to ease migration between Freescale devices.
