Freescale’s MRD2001 is a high-performance 77 GHz radar transceiver chipset scalable for multi-channel operation enabling a single radar platform with electronic beam steering and wide field-of-view to support long range, mid-range, and short-range radar applications across automotive safety, communications infrastructure, and industrial systems.
The MRD2001 radar chipset is designed to support fast modulation with simultaneous active Tx channels enabling excellent spatial resolution and detection accuracy across a wide field-of-view. It supports a large variety of chirps in open loop VCO radar system architectures and consumes minimal power. An integrated BB filter and VGA saves on the total bill of materials.
The MRD2001 77 GHz packaged radar front-end chipset, when combined with the MPC577xK MCU family, offers a complete system level radar solution for ADAS applications such as adaptive cruise control, emergency braking systems, lane departure warning and blind-spot detection.
The MRD2001 is based on advanced packaging technology to ensure the highest performance and minimum signal degradation on the customer PCB.
