MPX5700
MPX5700 Integrated Silicon Pressure Sensor On-Chip Signal Conditioned, Temperature Compensated and Calibrated
Data Sheetspdf1531010/26/2012
MPX5700 - The MPX5700 series piezoresistive transducer is a state-of-the-art monolithic silicon pressure sensor designed for a wide range of application, but particularly those employing a microcontroller or microprocessor with A/D inputs. This patented, single element transducer combines advanced micromachining techniques, thin-film metallization, and bipolar processing to provide an accurate, high level analog output signal that is proportional to the applied pressure.

AN3150, Soldering Recommendations for Pressure Sensor Devices - Application Notes
Application Notespdf1811.02/22/2006
AN3150 - Pressure sensor devices require the internal cavity containing the silicon transducer to be exposed to ambient in order for the device to function. Exposed cavity packages require special considerations during board assembly to prevent damage to the device during soldering and subsequent cleaning operations.

AN1518 Using a Pulse Width Modulated Output with Semiconductor Pressure Sensors
Application Notespdf16525/16/2005
AN1518 - For remote sensing and noisy environment applications, a frequency modulated (FM) or pulse width modulated (PWMW) output is more desirable than an analog voltage. FM and PWM outputs inherently have better noise immunity for these types of applications. Generally, FM outputs are more widely accepted than PWM outputs, because PWM outputs are restricted to a fixed frequency. However, obtaining a stable FM output is difficult to achieve without expensive, complex circuitry.
