MMA2300KEG, Surface Mount Micromachined Accelerometer - Data Sheet
Data Sheetspdf121111/4/2012
MMA2300KEG - The MMA series of silicon capacitive, micromachined accelerometers feature signal conditioning, a 4-pole low pass filter and temperature compensation. Zero-g offset full scale span and filter cut-off are factory set and require no external devices. A full system self-test capability verifies system functionality.

AN3751, Frequency Analysis in the Industrial Market Using Accelerometer Sensors
Application Notespdf75207/28/2008
AN3751 - Vibration is the mechanical oscillation of a structure about an equilibrium point. The location of the vibrating surface varies with time. A vibratory system must in general include a method of storing potential energy such as elasticity. It must be able to store kinetic energy through mass or inertia and must have a method by which energy is dissipated through either dampening or resistance. The oscillations may be periodic like the motion of a pendulum or it may be random from the movement of a bicycle riding on gravel or falling into a pothole. Vibration is occasionally desirable such as from a tuning fork, or from a musical instrument, but often vibration is undesirable, which can be an indication of wasting energy and creating unwanted noise. Vibrations are often caused by imbalances in the rotating parts, an effect that is generally unwanted.

AN1612 Shock and Mute Pager Applications Using Accelerometers
Application Notespdf357510/16/2006
AN1612 - In the current design, whenever there is an incoming page, the buzzer will ?beep? until any of the buttons is depressed. It can be quite annoying or embarrassing sometime when the button is not within your reach. This application note describes the concept of muting the ?beeping? sound by tapping the pager lightly, which could be located in your pocket or handbag.
