The SABRE board for smart devices introduces developers to quad-core processing, low-power consumption and bleeding-edge multimedia and graphics applications on the i.MX 6Quad ARM® Cortex ™-A9 applications processor, while remaining schematically compatible with their i.MX 6Dual, i.MX 6DualLite, and i.MX 6Solo designs.
The SABRE platform for smart devices allows you to evaluate the full multimedia performance capabilities of i.MX 6Quad and i.MX 6DualLite processors based on ARM® Cortex™-A9 technology. Targeted towards any device requiring an intelligent display, connectivity, low power and amazing user experience, the SABRE platform provides a foundation for enabling new product designs in markets such as portable computing, education, industrial, medical and home automation.
The SABRE for automotive infotainment offers a solid foundation for next-generation converged telematics and infotainment platform designs. With core processing speeds up to 1 GHz as well as a high level of automotive-specific integration, the SABRE for automotive infotainment enables customers to rapidly deploy today’s consumer user experiences in the car.
This Evaluation Kit is based on the i.MX 6SoloLite applications processor – the first system-on-a-chip (SoC) incorporating a high-performance 1 GHz ARM® Cortex™-A9 CPU and integrated E Ink® and Sipix® display controllers to drive current and next-generation electronic paper display (EPD) panels. The EVK enables EPD and/or LCD or HDMI display, touch control, audio playback as well as the ability to add WLAN, a 3G modem or Bluetooth® technology.
