Freescale encourages our suppliers to provide us with
environmentally preferred products. Specifically, we encourage them to
create products that are energy efficient, highly recyclable and contain
significant amounts of recycled materials and low amounts of hazardous
materials.
In response to environmental and health initiatives and ever-tightening regulations, manufacturers have an increased responsibility to ensure that products are designed and manufactured with health and ecological impacts taken into account. In order to meet this challenge, Freescale has adopted an Eco-Design Substances Disclosure Specification 12MWS00047B
requiring compliance in regards to declaring government banned substances and disclosing chemical content data in products provided to Freescale.
Please refer to the information below to determine which documents are required and directions on how to submit this information.
Are You a Freescale Material Supplier or
External Assembly Manufacturing?
Suppliers must provide a material composition declaration using IPC1752 Material Composition Declaration (MCD) form via the Freescale Supplier Portal (Web Tool). The form and instructions can be found in the Freescale Supplier Portal, available for Qualified Suppliers through http://www.freescale.com.

Material Composition Disclosure (MCD)
Tell us what IS in your product. The purpose of this document is to collect information about the chemical content of supplied materials that may be incorporated into our products. The reduction or elimination of toxic and harmful materials from products and production processes is a very important step in the reduction of health and ecological impacts. We are requesting one Material Composition Declaration to be completed per piece part provided or incorporated into Freescale products. Declarations will be gathered from Suppliers and Distributors for internal assemblies and from External Assembly Manufacturing sites for external builds. The timeline for this request is
10 days from PO issue date or MCD request notification.
