The Challenge:
Create cars that automatically adapt to the road.
The Solution:
Develop a sophisticated in-vehicle network with Freescale-powered FlexRay™ technology.
How did one automaker enhance the driving experience? By working with Freescale to implement the industry's first use of FlexRay technology in the new BMW X5. Sensors collect data such as road speed, steering angle and acceleration and pass it along the in-vehicle network. The vehicle’s suspension and handling then automatically adjust based on this information.
