Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a standard used for connecting devices such as computers, set-top boxes, game consoles, mobile phones and peripherals, among other devices. There are various versions of USB specification: USB1.0, USB1.1, USB2.0 and USB On-the-Go (OTG). Freescale is a member of the USB Implementers Forum, Inc, a non-profit corporation created to provide a support organization and forum for the advancement and adoption of Universal Serial Bus technology. The Forum facilitates the development of high-quality compatible USB peripherals (devices), and promotes the benefits of USB and the quality of products that have passed compliance testing.
