  • Community Relations
  • Freespeak

FreeSpeak was launched in the first quarter of 2005 and is an ongoing process that will be used to engage employees and measure the company's progress towards a High Performing Culture. Freespeak has been designed to allow all employees to express their opinions through an anonymous avenue with the knowledge that it will result in action being taken. This online survey is scheduled twice per year and all questions are linked to the Freescale Fundamentals.

  • Employee Forum

The primary objective of the forum is to provide an environment for discussing business matters which may affect employees, in both a positive and constructive manner. The forum is used to inform employees about a range of business activities which may affect them but also to hear feedback and suggestions from employees. These meetings are held on a monthly basis by both Site Management and HR representation. Additionally, where the Company is required, we use the forum to formally consult with employees on appropriate matters.

For the forum to be successful it relies on 2 way participation and effective communication - this is every employee's opportunity to provide feedback, ideas, questions and concerns to the group and Freescale.

  • Freescale Fundamentals

The Freescale Fundamentals are the foundation on which our company is built:

  • Additional Benefits:
    • Employee Assistance Programme

In recent years, the pressures of our daily lives have increased dramatically. Diverse family structures, changing employment patterns and a wide range of other factors all contribute to our busy lives. In light of this, Freescale offers a 24 hour confidential Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to all UK employees. The EAP service provides guidance on different aspects of your life and is operated by ICAS, a national support centre.

    • Occupational Health

UK Freescale employees benefit from an Occupational Health Department which works closely with all departments and managers to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees. The services offered range from medical care, health awareness and promotion to risk assessments and assisting employees to return to work following a period of absence.

    • Wellbeing

Wellbeing is a reimbursement scheme offered to employees who participate in fitness or wellbeing activities. At present, a maximum of £160 can be reimbursed per annum. This scheme is offered in connection with the Occupational Health Department to promote wellbeing amongst employees.

    • Educational Assistance

Freescale employees may also be eligible for the Educational Assistance Programme which provides financial aid for employees who request to undertake a course of study. The programme is offered to employees who demonstrate that the intended course of study shall enhance current performance or supports their career development plan. This programme is a benefit to both employees and Freescale and consequently all applications are given full consideration to ensure our 'Great Talent' is developed.

    • BRAVO!
    • Freescale has an integrated global rewards programme to support the consistent delivery of employee recognition.
