Freescale’s Automotive Motor Control Development Solutions are complete evaluation and development packages allowing the rapid prototyping and evaluation of the motor control application without the need to wait for the final hardware design. The kit consists of Freescale’s 32-bit Qorivva or 16-bit S12 based controller board and the 3-phase low-voltage power stage board. As the Automotive Motor Control Development Kits support two major types of electric motor, two variants of the development kits are available:

• Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor
• Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM)

An integral part of the Automotive Motor Control Development Kit is the application software which provides the complete, easy-to-use solution for the motor control application also covering the utilization of the Automotive Math and Motor Control Library Set.
