Analog & Power Management Overview

Power Actuation
Devices are designed to control loads, as well as provide load/IC protection and status/diagnostic communication.
Network Transceivers
Devices connect microcontrollers to their system environments. Transceivers range from physical layers to devices integrating voltage regulators and MCUs.
Signal Conditioning
Devices monitor high voltage contacts and then interface to a microcontroller for status and control.
System Basis Chips
The devices have combinations of Low Drop Out (LDO) Voltage regulator(s), high side switches and all have a physical layer transceiver (CAN, LIN), controlled by an MCU through a SPI interface.
Embedded MCU plus Power
The devices have combinations of analog drivers with a LIN network interface and a 8-bit Microcontroller
Power Management
Devices provide power supply supervisory control and conversion solutions as well as battery management devices
Audio and Video
Audio Codecs are available to enhance the quality of audio signals being utilized in consumer and/or portable electronics

SMARTMOS™ Technology

SMARTMOS™ technology is Freescale's proprietary combinational BiCMOS-type process that connects electronic systems to the physical world. SMARTMOS integrates analog, power devices and dense CMOS logic into a single IC that includes functions of voltage regulation, power MOSFETs, input signal conditioning, transient protection, system diagnostics and control.
