It is the policy of Freescale Semiconductor to conduct all business activities in a responsible manner, free from recognized hazards, and to respect the environment, health and safety of our employees, customers, suppliers, partners and the community.

We will comply with all environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, as applicable. We will implement programs to achieve greater protection, where appropriate. We expect employees to report environmental, health and safety concerns and be involved in implementing solutions.

We strive to conserve the Earth's natural resources through development of sustainable products and manufacturing processes. We work to be an industry leader in reducing, reusing and recycling wastes, and any remaining wastes are then properly disposed with an emphasis on safety and the environment.

Environmentally Preferred Products (EPP)

The Freescale Environmentally Preferred Products program addresses sustainable products. The global, cross-functional EPP efforts focus on customer and regulatory requirements for the management of hazardous substances in products. The EPP team oversees corporate compliance procedures for the End of Life Vehicle (ELV) Directive in the European Union, and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) requirements in the European Union and China.
