Jump start your multicore design with the QorIQ P5040 reference design board (P5040-RDB). Featuring the 2.2 GHz QorIQ P5040 communications processor, this board provides basic interoperability and flexibility for system clocking, power distribution and I/O multiplexing for networking and industrial designs.
Floating point arithmetic has been added to the QorIQ Qonverge B4 family to handle general-purpose, compute-intensive application requirements. The QorIQ Qonverge B4860 and B4420 are the first B4 family members to include floating point arithmetic. The advanced floating point technology is engineered to meet and exceed the stringent requirements of computation-intensive applications that require high precision numerical accuracy, such as radar, medical and media imaging, MAC-scheduler processing in Cloud-RAN, video analytics, security, industrial automation and test & measurement systems.
Our QorIQ T4 product family includes the flagship T4240 and T4160 virtual core communications processors. These devices are extremely fast and perfectly balanced and are ideal for data center, mil/aero, gateway, datacom/telecom and wireless infrastructure applications. The devices offer an increase in system power efficiency by 2x using advanced 28 nm process technology. An AltiVec engine is also included on the devices - allowing DSP-like functionality such as sonar, radar and image processing and video processing.
