Freescale releases two additional devices of the eXtreme Switch Gen3 family for low-voltage automotive and industrial lighting applications. The third generation product family was designed for these applications and contain up to five low RDS(ON) MOSFETs to control the high sides of five separate lamps, bulbs, Xenon-HID modules and/or light emitting diodes (LEDs). As applications are requiring lower power dissipation of lighting modules, Freescale has utilized the recently developed trenchfet technology “LFET” to create two additional devices which exhibit even lower Rdson.
