The 24-bit DSP56K family of DSPs include a variety of devices targeted at the general embedded markets including networking, communications and industrial control and the audio market in the case of the Symphony Audio devices. The Symphony Audio members include integrated audio peripherals designed to meet the demands of audio electronic system designers. Specific software enabled versions of the Symphony family are available to support the latest generation of audio decoders from Dolby and DTS and there is a vast library of ‘off the shelf’ algorithms available to perform many other functions common in audio targeted applications.
