Ethernet Switch  Favorite


An industrial Ethernet switch is a ruggedized intelligent hub that connects multiple nodes to an Ethernet network. It learns the preferred destination of signals appearing at any port to direct signals only to ports where needed. It can give priority to certain ports, and a managed switch has extra port for user to set functionality. Processor performance can range from 200 to 1500+ MIPS. On-chip memory is often greater than 256 KB L2 cache. Factory automation equipment is ruggedly constructed for fanless operation in harsh industrial environments.
