SUPERSCAPE INTERACTIVE 3D FOR MOBILES AT SYMBIAN EXPO
Stand No. 2
Symbian Exposium03
29 & 30 April 2003
ExCel Centre, London
ExCel Centre, London - 29 April, 2003 - Superscape plc, leaders in the development of interactive 3D enabling technology for mobile devices, will be showing examples from the company's new catalogue of interactive 3D games for mobile phones, running on Motorola's i.MX, the Nokia 3650 and 7650 handsets, at this year's Symbian Exposium. Developed in conjunction with THQ Wireless and Cybiko using Superscape's Swerve 3D software, the games include MotoGP, Chesscapade (an animated 3D version of the traditional board game) and SlamDunk Basketball.
Superscape has successfully ported its Swerve 3D Client to the Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector i.MX1 (media extension applications) processor based on the ARM® core, designed specifically for high performance, low power-consumption multimedia applications for handheld devices. Demonstrations of Swerve-based applications on this state-of-the art i.MX Motorola processor will be shown for the first time at Symbian Exposium03 at the Superscape booth.
Superscape's Swerve 3D technology will also be featured in the Games Zone at this event.
Superscape was selected to join the Symbian Platinum Partner Program in April 2002. The company's technology has been approved for use with Symbian OS and is available to licensed partners throughout the world, including Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Siemens and Sony Ericsson. Symbian OS licensees represent over 80 percent of annual worldwide mobile phone sales.

About Swerve
Swerve enables the delivery of a wide range of compelling user experiences
on cell phones including 3D games, user interfaces and messaging. Using Swerve,
Java developers can create entirely new applications or enhance the look and
feel of existing services. For manufacturers, operators and content developers,
Swerve technology is an innovative, cost-effective and flexible means of offering
exciting new services to generate additional traffic and increase revenues.
The Swerve 3D applications platform comprises three components: Swerve Client - the power to deliver, Swerve Author - the power to create, Swerve Applications - the power to experience.
Swerve Client, embedded into the software environment of the mobile phone, provides the platform on which new, attractive services can be launched - encouraging users to invest in new handsets which will be capable of delivering these compelling experiences. Swerve Client is available as part of a Java ™ (J2ME/MIDP compliant) solution. Swerve Client is a pure software solution but can make full use of any hardware acceleration available on the device. Swerve has a low absolute ROM footprint and can deliver 3D experiences in the typical application RAM space available on today's devices.
Swerve Author enables the fast creation of interactive 3D objects, scenes and complete applications using the patent-pending Swerve techniques. Based on the industry standard design tool, 3D Studio Max™, designers can create content from scratch or build applications using pre-existing assets. Also incorporating a range of behaviour prototyping, emulation, profiling and production tools, Swerve Author provides a complete solution to 3D application development.
Swerve Applications, a range of ready-made applications for enhanced messaging, gaming and user interfaces. These applications demonstrate the full range of capabilities of Swerve and provide customers with rich experiences to deliver directly to consumers.
