Your personalized Freescale.com is a way for you to track what you have viewed and downloaded and for Freescale to guide you more effectively to the solutions that are most relevant. It’s also a great way for you to take advantage of the knowledge and preferences of our other users in making your product selections. Learn more about personalizing Freescale.com:
The Freescale website offers two types of recommendations—personalized and context-based.
Personalized recommendations are available in the personalization bar near the top of the web page. When you click on ‘My Recommendations’, a pop-up displays various products, development solutions, applications, training and videos that may be relevant to your needs. We are able to determine the interest areas of users such as yourself by examining items you’ve viewed, downloaded and purchased (your history). We compare your activity on our site to that of other users, and through that comparison—with a bit of Freescale expert knowledge thrown in—we make relevant recommendations for you.
Context-based recommendations, called ‘General Recommendations’ on the website, hover at the bottom of web pages and display anonymous aggregates of the views, interactions and downloads of other engineers who have used that particular page. These recommendations are not based on your own history of activity, but your activity on the website helps shape the recommendations that are made. You also typically will see context-based recommendations within the ‘Software and Tools’ tab, ‘Documentation’ tab and when you’re checking out after making a purchase.
The History feature keeps track of information that you have viewed, including products, applications, training and videos. It also keeps track of any documents or software that you have downloaded, as well as your personal notes entered with the Annotate This Page feature.
See My Browse History to learn more about activating and managing the History feature.

The expectation is that the recommendations on Freescale.com will be relevant to your design needs because they are based on the aggregate browsing history of users like you.
For personalized recommendations, which leverage your own browsing history, you will have the opportunity to ‘fix’ the recommendation by removing irrelevant items from your history that. This helps tune our system so that we can provide the best selection of recommendations for your interests.
Note that personalized recommendations will not include items that you have viewed before.
Modify how you see recommendations at the bottom of the web page by selecting the appropriate box to either:
You can find this function after you log in, under Account Settings.
For more information about recommendations on Freescale.com, see How Recommendations Work.
Improve what items are recommended for you by customizing your history.
1. When ‘My Recommendations’ is displayed, click Fix this.
2. In the ‘Improve My Recommendations’ screen, check the relevant boxes:

Your Browse History helps you easily find information that you have viewed, including products, applications, training and videos. It also keeps track of your notes and any documents or software that you have downloaded. Your History is continually updated to include your most recently viewed items and downloads.
When you visit Freescale.com, during the session we are able to track your history and offer personalized recommendations; however, when you close your browser or leave your session for more than 30 minutes, your data is lost.
For the History feature to save your activity beyond one session:
Your history is saved in the system for one year.
You can access your browse history within the light blue Personalization Bar at the top of Freescale.com web pages.

If you do not find the History feature helpful, you are able to turn it off. Please note that we will not be able to make personalized recommendations based on your activity on Freescale.com if you turn off Browse History.
From the Change My History Settings window (located after you login, under Account Settings), you can enable or disable History Recording, delete your Browse History (except for your notes) and customize how you view your Browse History.
Your Browse History is enabled by default. To turn Browse History on or off, do one of the following:
Your history is saved in the system for one year. Please note that we will not be able to make personalized recommendations based on your activity on Freescale.com if you disable Browse History.
To clear all previous history, click ‘Delete History’. This does not delete your personal notes.
You can also clear specific items from History when you edit your recommendation settings. See Improve My Recommendations for more information.
To customize what types of items are displayed in your history, select ‘Remove’ or ‘Add’ next to the item on the screen. You can choose to display browsed web pages, downloaded documents and software tools, notes, videos and online training.
Once your edits are made to your History Settings, click Save.
For more information about browsing history on Freescale.com, see My Browse History.
You are able to make notations on any page within Freescale.com to keep for your future reference. You can view all your notations in your Browse History.
Your notes are only deleted when you personally remove them; deleting your history will not delete your notes.
You can access the ‘Annotate This Page feature’ within the light blue Personalization Bar at the top of Freescale.com web pages.
