If I am not logged in how do you know who I am?

We use cookies to help you keep track of tasks that you complete on our site. We will keep track of your history for the session if you are not registered on freescale.com or have “remember me” disabled. We will maintain your history for you beyond the session if you have registered and selected “remember me.”

How do I remove the cookie so that the presented name goes away?

In Firefox: Go to tools>options>privacy>show cookies; remove the Freescale cookie.
In IE: Go to internet options>general>temporary internet files; delete cookies.
In Chrome: Go to tools>options> under the hood, then clear browsing data, delete cookies and other site data.

How do I set my profile to record my history?

Register or login on freescale.com and retain the “remember me” option when logging in a private computer.

What types of pages are recorded in my history?

Pages that contain detailed information are typically recorded. These are pages that you may want to refer to later. The higher level navigation pages are not recorded.

What if I do not want my history recorded?

Select “Change change my history settings” and choose “disable the history settings.”

If I delete my cookies on my browser will my history be saved?

Your history will be saved if you have registered on freescale.com and you have selected “remember me.” To retrieve your history you will need to log in to freescale.com. You can log in from any computer and see your history, as the information is saved on our secure server.

Can I recover the deleted history if I delete all my history?

No. A warning will be presented when you select “delete my history.” Once you confirm the deletion, your history will be removed. Only your notes will be preserved.

Will my searches be saved?

Not at this point in time. We have plans to include this functionality in the future.

Can I remove specific items from my history?

Yes, you can remove individual items from your history page by selecting the delete X located to the right of the item in your browse history page or in the fix it window located in your My Recommendations page.

What does “annotate annotate this page” mean?

You can securely add your own personal notes to pages on our site. As you read through the material, you can add your own comments and refer to them later. This tool can assist you through your designs and product evaluation processes.

Are my notes secure? Can other users on the site see them?

Your notes are visible to only you when you are logged in. You must log in to view them.

You may find additional information about your personalized Freescale web experience at My Personalized Freescale.com.

How can I save items on freescale.com as favorites?

You must be a registered user on freescale.com and have “remember me” selected.

Can I see my favorites from mobile on the freescale.com full site?

Yes, your favorites will be available on freescale.com under Favorites on your personalization bar.

What favorites are available in My Favorites on mobile?

In mobile only your mobile favorites are shown.
On the full site, both mobile and full site favorites are available.

How can I tell if I have selected favorites on an asset?

Mobile: There will be a yellow star indication on product, application, software and hardware tools and training pages. For downloadable assets the item will have un-favorite if the action icon is already selected. If you want to view all of your favorite assets, go to My Favorites area under My Freescale.
Full site: There will be a yellow star indication on product, application, software and hardware tools and training pages. For downloadable assets, the items will have a yellow star on search results next to the item.

What assets can be favorites?

All web pages, documents, software and tools, products, training pages, and applications are eligible.

Where can I view or manage my favorites?

Mobile: Under My Freescale in the My Favorites section.
Full site: Under My Favorites in the personalization bar or in the My Favorites section under History.

How can I un-favorite items?

Mobile: There are two ways to un-favorite items- navigate the item and select the action icon, then select un-favorite in the pop-up menu. Or navigate to My Favorites under My Freescale, click on an item’s yellow star to unselect.

What does the share Share function perform?

Share permits you to share the current Freescale page with colleagues or friends in many social networking sites such as: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+, as well as e-mail.

What does Subscribe mean?

You may subscribe to receive alerts on Freescale’s cutting-edge products, semiconductor news and industry events. Access the latest technical documents and tools, as well as ideas and models for your applications. Updates tailored to your profile will arrive directly in your e-mail inbox.
If you select Subscribe on a page and you are already a registered user on freescale.com, the item category will be added to your interests.

How do I subscribe?

Subscribing is easy.

  1. First, create your interest and subscription preferences profile (log in/registration required).
  2. Check the box "Yes, I want to receive e-mail updates about the interests I have selected."
  3. Add semiconductor.update@freescale.com to your email address book to ensure delivery.
    Look for your personalized Design News e-mail newsletter to arrive each week.

You can also subscribe using the Subscribe links at the top of pages throughout the web site.
