Freescale Support monitors these forums to provide answers and take your feedback. Anyone can read messages, but only registered members can post questions or responses.
- Step 1: Registering at Freescale
- Existing Users: If you have registered on our site previously, then just log in. Your registered-user homepage has a link that will take you directly to the Freescale Forums.
- New Users: Before you can post to the forums or upload/download files, you must register with Freescale. Registration is quick and easy, but you must validate the account by replying to the system-generated privacy-protection email.

- Step 2: Sign in to Freescale Forums
- Sign in at the forums homepage, or click the Freescale Forums link on your registered-user homepage.
- Step 3: Set your user preferences
Your preferences can be set by selecting "My Profile" from the forums menu at the top of the page.
- Alias: The first time you log into the forums, you'll be asked to pick an alias. This is the identity by which you will be known in the forum. Your alias will appear next to all of your postings, and your alias cannot be changed — even by a forum moderator or admin. Choose carefully!
- Personal Profile: The options available on this tab allow you to share information about yourself with other users, such as your geographic location, personal homepage, and so on.
- Preferences: Set your personal preferences using the options on this tab, including display settings, privacy settings, and time zone.
- Icons: If you choose to, you may set your avatar here. This thumbnail graphic allows other users to identify you more quickly, and it will appear next to all your posts.
- Subscriptions: The options on this tab allow you to mark threads you've already read and to receive a daily download of all messages instead of individual emails. Subscriptions appear on the entry page to the forums after login.
- Bookmarks: Here you can mark messages, threads, and boards that you are interested in. Bookmarks appear on the forums entry page after login.
- Step 4: Begin Posting!
- New post: From the forum menu "New Thread" if you have a new question, or "Reply" to an existing thread
- Uploads/Downloads: Uploaded files will be reviewed by Freescale prior to posting on our site. To submit and find community files, find the Downloads/Uploads link of a specific forum.
- Confidentiality: These forums are not confidential. Please do not discuss matters covered under an non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
- Netiquette: Please use appropriate netiquette and respect for others. Avoid vulgar expressions and always be nice!
