Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector is changing the rules in the semiconductor industry with an innovative new business plan that combines high-value products, asset efficiency and IP licensing.
We've adopted a targeted product strategy, providing our customers with a focused set of high-value products and platformsInnovative Convergence platforms for wireless communications, the Smart Networks Platform for networking, vehicle management and communications systems, and moredesigned to help them drive revenue growth.
At the same time, we've moved to an asset-light manufacturing model, outsourcing production of our technology to improve operational efficiency. And we're seeking to increase revenue and improve R&D efficiency by aggressively licensing our Intellectual Property rather than keeping it under wraps.
