A hybrid vehicle combines a downsized internal combustion engine (ICE) and an electric motor (e-motor) to improve fuel economy and reduce harmful emissions.

Mild hybrid, full hybrid and plug-in hybrid are a common way to refer to the power breakdown capability of the electric motor and functionalities associated to it.
